Always wanted to learn about different types of meditation? Let me show you!
Science has proven that meditation can lower blood pressure, slow down our breathing, boost our immune system, change the structure of our brains, reduce anxiety, improve our memory and sleep, aid in wound healing and pain management. Different types of meditation styles take you to different places. Some calm you in the moment – others calm you after, some open you, inspire you, relax you, some expand you and some deliver you to a life of one-ness and deeper fulfillment. My role as a meditation teacher is not to impose a specific meditation technique on you but rather open your world to a vast number of meditation methods and tools, and encourage you to explore – without dogma, stigma or judgment. My motto as your teacher is “whatever works for you.”
What to Expect
This complimentary three-part weekly workshop will build upon the lessons learned from the previous week. During our time together we will explore the following:
• Meditation methods and tools
• The physical/emotional/spiritual benefits of meditation
• The impact stress has on our mind and body
• How to build and create a ritualized daily practice from the comfort of your own space
• And, of course, we will meditate
In addition, during our three weeks together we will meet as a community for a 20 minute guided meditation.
